EOC furthering Preparation for London 2012 Olympic Games

The Ethiopian Olympic Committee has been preparing and giving capacity building courses to coaches, trainers and other professionals in various fields towards the preparation in London 2012 Olympic Games. Currently, EOC has organized different committees.

The committees which are organized by the EOC are the Marketing and Sponsorship, Communication, and Training. Members of the committee are individuals who are selected based on their profession and work experience.

The Committees have their respective responsibilities. The Marketing and Sponsorship Committee has the responsibility of collecting funds, the Communication Committee has the responsibility of doing communication activities and the Training Committee has responsibility of facilitating and supervising the trainings of the athletes, and professionals who are to be included in the national team.

Ethiopia is currently preparing to participate in the up-coming London 2012 Olympic Games in Athletics, Swimming, World Taekwondo and Boxing sports.

Except Swimming, the other three sports need to undergo qualification tournaments.
